is looking for a bending machine operator with experience in sheet metal production using Amada (Hurco & FDBII) style machinery.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The break press operator will program, calibrate, and operate Amada style (Hurco & FDBII) break press machines to manufacture various types of sheet metal projects
Perform startup and shutdown procedures for break press machines
Prepare machine setup operations including CNC interface, program retrieval, machine tooling, custom modification for tools and dies
Must know how to read and understand plans, break diagrams, and flat patterns on drawings
Verify dimensions using tape measures, verniers calipers, micrometers, and squares to accurately manufacture quality components as per drawings specifications
Maintain machinery by regularly preforming preventative maintenance
Complete and maintain machine inspection reports
Keep workshop areas clean, organized, and comply with all safety and quality standards
Coordinate with the purchaser to ensure all materials are ordered, received, and accessible for the job
Promptly communicate any problems with the materials received to the project manager or purchaser

Qualifications:

Experience an asset programming, setting up and operating an Amada (Hurco & FDBII) break press
Basic knowledge of manufacturing and material handling equipment
Interpret and comprehend diagrams and flat pattern drawings
Attention to details, ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
Respects standards for quality and safety
Ability to communicate in French and English
