About the role:

ESG and Decarbonization Services in North America is seeking a
Principal Consultant to join our team.

As a Principal Consultant you will have proven experience in project delivery and business development across sustainability, climate change, and corporate responsibility service areas.


This is an exciting role, and you will be leading the delivery of projects, ensuring service excellence for clients, developing, and maintaining new and existing relationships from day one, and playing an important role in the development of others within the team.


We help clients implement, improve, and demonstrate their commitment towards ESG, sustainability, and decarbonization throughout their operations and across their value chains.

You will work on a wide range of services including sustainability, climate change, decarbonization strategy, carbon foot print, product carbon foot print, carbon removal and carbon offset.

You will also get the real opportunity to win, lead, and develop our work with many of the world s leading companies and brands across a wide range of sectors as they set and pursue their ESG & decarbonization ambitions.


This is a remote position.

What you'll do

  • Proactively seek to identify customer needs, develop tailored solutions and sell these to new and existing clients.
- researching prospective accounts in targeted markets, pursuing leads and constructing agreements
- assessing the company's target market and industry and developing strategies to gain new clients.
- collaborating with the design and sales teams to ensure that they meet all client requirements.
- identifying new prospects within the industry and preparing detailed sales presentations

  • Involvement in independent assessment / verification of client s sustainability indicators involving environment (Scope 1, 2 and Scope 3 emissions), waste, water and other environmental metrics.
  • Assurance or advisory services for product carbon footprint, Life Cycle Assessment and Carbon removal/offsets.
  • Have a passion for and demonstrable experience in sustainability, and decarbonization (required)
  • Have business development experience in the decarbonization market.
  • Good understanding of GHG Reporting, GHG Reporting regulations in North America, Decarbonization Strategy, carbon removal, and carbon offsets.
  • Have a good understanding of GHG emissions/climate change reporting standards/frameworks such as: The GHG Protocol, SBTi, TCFD, and ISO 1406
  • Experience in Life Cycle Analysis, product carbon footprint, environmental product declaration
  • Experience in use of GHG reporting and LCA tools such as Sphera, Gabi, Simapro, Open LCA, GREET etc.
  • Experience in Canadian or US GHG Reporting and offset Regulatory Market
  • Are outstanding communicators, with excellent written, speaking, research and analytical skills
  • Are able to work within an international team, delivering highquality written outputs within agreed time periods
  • Possess strong problem solving and data analysis skills, data interpretation skills.
  • Can maintain flexibility in work hours and work independently with mínimal supervision.
