Your work environment at EXP


In this role, you will be a part of the
Land Development team, of the
Infrastructure &Transportation sector, based in
Calgary, AB office and have the opportunity to work with a great team.


What a day at EXP has in store for you

  • Working closely with the Field Supervisors on large scale residential, industrial, and commercial developments in and around Calgary, specific duties would include:
  • Full-time Underground Inspections
  • Ensuring construction is completed as per design and City of Calgary Specifications
  • Miscellaneous inspections and associated reporting for ESC, EH&S, Daily Reports on general items
  • Coordination with City of Calgary
  • Assisting with Contract and Payment processing and measurements.
  • Attending staff, client and project meetings as requested
  • Depending on level of experience and demonstrated abilities, duties may expand to include:
  • Supporting/coordinating survey and construction inspection efforts on overall project
  • Assisting in obtaining all necessary approvals and permits for projects.
  • Providing general oversight on all stages of construction (Rough Grading, Underground and Surface Construction)

What your experience looks like

  • Diploma at an accredited institution in Civil Engineering Technology or equivalent is an asset
  • Minimum of two years' experience in engineering, consulting or construction.
  • Familiarity with the City of Calgary guidelines and specifications is an asset
  • Must have strong people skills, and ability to work with wide variety of staff and clients
  • Must have strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to multitask is critical
  • Must be able to meet deadlines, well organized and able to work under pressure
  • AutoCAD experience, ideally Civil 3D would be a strong asset for both field duties and potential winter work opportunities
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Must provide own vehicle for business use, which will be reimbursed on a per kilometer basis
