Who are we?

About the Role:


The Manufacturing Specialist and Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for the administration and maintenance of the company quality management system and is the quality management representative for the company regarding quality concerns with suppliers and customers.

This will include, but is not limited to, acting as a resource for front line supervisors, executive management, as well as other members of the management team.

This position is also responsible for working closely with manufacturing in the understanding, maintenance, and improvement of processes, as they relate to manufacturing.

Reporting out, where required, to satisfy ISO quality standards and helping manufacturing ensure efficient production of quality products.

This role must be able to understand and communicate technical concepts including engineering drawings, process flow, industrial standards and specifications.

The individual in this role must possess good interpersonal skills and be a liaison between all departments of the company to maintain and improve manufacturing efficiency.

This role requires a strong leadership presence, self-confidence, a highly self-motivated attitude, along with strong organizational, decision making and data analysis skills.

Communication skills, both verbal and written, along with the ability to utilize technology, including Microsoft Office, will be necessary to complete daily and ongoing tasks.


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Act as management representative for ISO9001, facilitating management review and maintaining internal audit program including updating, standardizing, and documenting, company wide quality systems and overseeing and ensuring that certification programs are maintained.
  • Formulate and document the organization's quality documents; coordinate the optimization of the quality program and customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with Manufacturing where issues bridge multiple departments to bring continuity to a unified effort, as required.
  • Coordinate with Manufacturing the development and deployment of quality analysis tools across the company.
  • Conduct studies and analysis of quality data and effectively deal with customer and supplier quality problems.
  • Investigate assigned warranty concerns with assistance from Manufacturing and coordinate appropriate corrective actions when necessary.
  • Provide support to all departments utilizing ISO, Lean tools and other quality methods and principles throughout the company, as required to remove waste, improve information flow and drive continuous improvement in the MFG processes.
  • Support manufacturing processes by reporting on information, material, machine and toolage issues. Eg. BOM A&D, DMR, lost time, etc.
  • Support Manufacturing in developing, maintaining, and improving manufacturing documentation, including APC sheets, Quality, Engineering and Manufacturing bulletins, etc.
  • Work closely with hourly personnel and Manufacturing to remove waste in the manufacturing process whenever possible.
  • Assist Manufacturing Engineering in their duties and troubleshooting when required; for example: vacuum/charging.
  • Assist in developing and executing training programs for personnel.
  • Perform incoming inspections on purchased product when required.
  • Manage and maintain the calibration of equipment through the calibration log.
  • Manage and maintain the CHTWPCA Heat Treat policy and procedures.
  • Qualify new vendors when required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:


  • Post-Secondary Diploma in a related field, preferably Manufacturing Engineering Technology and 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Previous experience managing ISO9001 certification.
  • Working knowledge and experience in Internal Auditing.
  • Working knowledge and experience using lean tools.

Location: 159 Roy Blvd, Brantford, ON, N3R 7K1 (On-site, five days a week)


Hours of Work: 8:00 - 4:30, Monday-Friday
