  • Markham, OntarioThis is a hybrid role (remote & inoffice) as the hiring team will require the student to come to the office approximately 3 days a week.
    Program Term
4-month position from May 6, 2024 to August 30, 2024


The Role

  • As a UI Design Engineer Coop, you will have the opportunity to to contribute to the product release cycle, by communicating and working with team members to create user interface designs and solutions for new and existing software products.
    What you'll be doing
  • Collaborate to define new and update existing features in our products
  • Define user interaction and flow of features for new and existing products
  • Develop and present designs with various teams
  • Build clickthrough prototypes
  • Create production ready mockups and assets

What you'll learn

  • Increase knowledge of AMD products and their features
  • Exposure to product release cycle
  • Critical thinking and user experience interactions
  • Platforms and devices design
  • Design tools at an advanced level
  • Teamwork

Key Qualifications

  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) or a related discipline
  • Returning to school following internship
  • Ability to work in team and independently
  • Experience with Adobe XD, Figma, Sketch or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge with mobile, desktop and responsive design
  • Written and verbal communication and presentation skills
