The Project & Continuous Improvement Lead (CI) will accomplish the position objectives and key responsibility areas by effectively managing project's life cycle from beginning to end in collaboration with cross-functional departments and external resources.

This position participates in strategic planning, organization-wide projects and decisions, strategic and operational committees, and other organizational key initiatives. This position is based out of Winnipeg, Manitoba.


What you'll be doing:


Projects

  • Oversee the planning and execution of capital projects, from conception to completion, ensuring that all goals and objectives are met within budget and on schedule.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, including forecasting, tracking, and reporting on project expenses.
  • Coordinate with crossfunctional teams, including engineering, operations, procurement, and finance, to ensure successful project execution and delivery.
  • Prepare project schedules and timelines and monitor progress against established milestones.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks and develop contingency plans as necessary.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, including senior management, external vendors, and contractors.
  • Facilitate project team meetings and provide regular updates to stakeholders on project status, risks, and issues.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and guidelines.
  • Develop and implement project management best practices and process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Participate in strategic planning and contribute to the development of the company's capital investment plan.

Continuous Improvements (CI)

  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives across the organization and departments.
  • Develop and implement a framework for measuring and tracking improvement efforts.
  • Work with crossfunctional teams to identify improvement opportunities and prioritize them based on the impact.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement through training and coaching, and promote best practices and lessons learned.
  • Facilitate improvement projects and provide guidance on project management methodologies.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive dashboard of continuous improvement initiatives, progress, and results.
  • Conduct research and stay current with industry trends and best practices to improve the program continuously.
  • Manage the continuous improvement budget and resources effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies and procedures.

You'll need to have:


  • B.Sc. in Engineering.
  • Minimum 57 years of proven continuous improvement analytical experience from a similar role, including project management and business analysis
  • Minimum 5 7 years of supervisory experience with a minimum of 10 years' experience in industrial/production setting, preferably the pharmaceutical or food industry
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong report writing skills, business correspondence, and procedures manual; effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.
  • Excellent leadership and organizational skills.
  • Excellent project management and problemsolving skills. 6 Sigma problemsolving experience or equivalent is a strong asset
  • Must be proficient in machine and facility design required in a highly regulated industry (ie. Pharma) and design for proper hygiene requirements
  • Must be proficient in developing and writing work procedures for maintenance, production and associated activities
  • Familiar with; AutoCAD, Microsoft Office programs, and Project.
  • Requires flexibility to work in a fastpaced, changing environment in a participatory management structure, all with a sense of duty and responsibility.
  • Ability to motivate and energize the team through strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Must be able to provide a clear criminal record check
