Job description

JOB OVERVIEW:
Responsible for assisting the Director of Housekeeping with daily functions when required in accordance with hotel standards. Responsible for checking rooms and monitoring Housekeepers on assigned days. Required to participate in the cleaning of rooms as well as providing stay over service and the stocking closets. Other tasks as assigned.


REPORTS TO:
Director of Housekeeping


KEY RELATIONSHIPS:
Director of Housekeeping, Housekeeping staff, General Manager


External:
Hotel Guests and Visitors


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School graduate or equivalent vocational training
  • Supervisor/Head Housekeeper experience
  • Ability to communicate in English with guests and hotel personnel
  • Computer literate

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Ability to enforce hotel's standards, policies, and procedures with hotel staff
  • Ability to direct housekeeping staff as needed
  • Ability to work quickly but with a high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to work without direct supervision
  • Ability to work long hours when needed
  • Previous guest relations experience
  • Previous hotel housekeeping experience

Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time


Salary:
$16.75-$17.25 per hour


Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Overtime
  • Weekend availability

Experience:

- housekeeping supervisor: 1 year (required)
