Position Overview:
The Analyst, Custody Services will partner with and provide leading edge solutions to our top tier/larger client/IA relationships.
Develop strong partnerships with key business areas at BNY Mellon and CIBC Mellon while working to ensure that all quality control checks are completed within CS standards.
Responsibilities:
- Liaise with key business areas in BNY Mellon and CIBC Mellon to facilitate smooth, timely and accurate resolution to queries/issues.
- Take appropriate action to ensure timely market settlement of all cash and securities transaction to reduce market exposure.
- Research all overdrafts or idle balances daily to ensure validity.
- Support all relationships within the assigned client group (Mutual Funds, ETF Funds, Pension Plans, or Subcustody)
- Assist with quarterly calls to Clients or Investment Managers.
- Participate in Client presentations as needed.
- Lead and participate in special projects related to future initiatives
- Support and identify opportunities to improve processes within the group
- Participate in CS Training Program/CIBC Mellon Leadership Development Program/HR Training courses.
- Provide direction and support to staff in Toronto and Pune including assisting the staff with managing complex client issues and inquiries, and helping to liaise with internal departments.
- Provide training to Specialists as required.
- Act as a backup Supervisor, as required.
Qualifications:
- Successful completion of postsecondary program with focus on business, finance or accounting
- 3 years progressive experience
- Excellent knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Detail oriented with good analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in customer service
