  • Triglobal Solutions Group Inc. is seeking one (1) Intermediate Server Analyst to join our Security Administration team at Service Alberta (Government of Alberta) to support daytoday operations within clients' centralized Windows Active Directory and Microsoft 365.
This is a backfill for a Tri-global contractor who has moved to a new project.


The successful contractor(s) have an anticipated March 13, 2023 start date for a 15-month contract (ending June 30, 2024) with 6-month extension available (total contract term up to 24-months).


  • NOTES ON LOCATION: Resource will work remotely.
Work must be done from within Alberta, due to network and data security policies. Standard Hours of work are 08:1- 16:30 Alberta time. It is preferred if resource has their own equipment, though client will provide laptop/desktop if necessary._

PROJECT OVERVIEW


Reporting to the Security Administration Team Lead within the Infrastructure and Service Management Technology Support and Operations, this contracted resource shall be responsible for day-to-day operations within the GOA centralized Windows Active Directory (ADS).

This includes object creation and maintenance, maintenance of user access to network resources, file permissions and security, reporting, development and modifying of administrative guidelines and processes, etc.

The Security Administration Team defines the guidelines used by the various organization unit administrators in each Ministry.

The latter can grant access to users within their ministries and must ensure new or unusual requirements are reviewed by the Security Administration Team Lead.

Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), and a proven ability to function on an individual basis and in a team/group environment are required.


NOTE:
Some evening and weekend work may be required.


ADDITIONAL DETAILS

  • Adhere to existing GoA established policies, procedures, standards, guidelines and practices.
  • User account (ID) creations, maintenance and deletions for access to network resources.
  • Implement and maintain user security and folder permissions.
  • Provide adhoc reporting of same.
  • File and folder moves, restructuring and permission setting.
  • Respond and resolve customer incidents/service requests pertaining to Domain and Exchange administration.
  • Some project work as required.
  • Development and modification of domain and exchange administration documentation, processes and guidelines.
  • Assist in active directory clean up as necessary.

DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES


Responsible for proactively maintain and improve the server core infrastructure functionality and to work within existing procedures and guidelines to meet client business requirements.

- perform problem diagnosis, troubleshooting and resolution.
- perform hardware and OS installations, migrations and/or upgrades.
- plan for software and hardware upgrades and/or migrations.
- develop and maintain documentation.
- maintain operating systems and associated infrastructure software.
- develop system related procedures.
- provide cross training and knowledge transfer to other server team members on relevant aspects of hardware and software support.


MANDATORY SKILLS

  • The proposed resource must meet or exceed one of the following: (6+ years)
  • University graduation in computer science or a related discipline and 2yr User Account Administration (UAA) experience;
OR

  • 2yr diploma in computer science or a related discipline and 4yr UAA experience;
OR

  • 1yr certificate in computer science or a related discipline and 5yr UAA experience;
OR

  • 6yr UAA experience
  • Experience using Windows 2016 Active Directory to manage all objects for a largescale environment (over 5000 users) (3+ years)
  • Experience with a problem tracking software and process workflow such as, BMC Remedy AR System, Service Now (3+ years)
  • Previous experience in a role which required a strong understanding of
