As an industry leader focused on driving growth and execution excellence, we are looking for a Manager of Financial Reporting to join our growing Finance team.


Reporting to the Director of Finance & Accounting this individual will lead the financial reporting activities, and will be responsible for meeting weekly, monthly, and annual reporting deadlines as outlined by Finance leadership.

This role will be responsible for process improvements related to our financial reporting processes.

This role will also support and assist the Executive and finance teams through the complete and accurate financial reporting processes, identifying areas for improvement throughout the company.

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Prepare weekly and monthly reporting packages and presentations for internal (management) and Board regular meetings (MBR/QBR).
  • Preparation of daily and weekly financial reports to support Operations and Business teams
  • Prepare and monitor, on a monthly and quarterly basis, all lenders covenant compliance calculations and related certification. Responsible for all lender agreement reporting requirements, including monthly financial statements and cash flow projections.
  • Ensure completion of monthly and quarterly disclosure checklist to ensure full compliance with all GAAP/APES reporting requirements.
  • Prepare and issue SG&A/departmental monthly reports provide Spinrite's FP&A team with support in researching variances.
  • Assist the company's tax team in the compilation and reconciliation of annual tax packages.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of policies and procedures for financial reporting activities
  • Assist in the preparation of any ad hoc analyses requested by various members of management on historical financial information.
  • Assist with coordinating the annual audit with external auditors and internal audit functions
  • Collaborate with the FP&A team and Controller to complete the preparation of the company's annual budget and monthly forecast
  • Manages the Financial Reporting Team, making hiring and performance management decisions.
  • Responsible for ensuring the health and safety of their team.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:


  • 8+ years' experience, with recent Financial Reporting experience (4+ years)
  • Experience directing work of others and or leading a crossfunctional team on a project with financial reporting responsibilities
  • Experience in manufacturing environment is an asset, but not required
  • CPA designation (CA, CMA, CGA)
  • Post secondary education in business or accounting and/or MBA, viewed favorably but not required
  • Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Keen focus on improvement and challenging the status quo
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); familiarity with Microsoft Access would be preferred.
  • Job activities require thinking independently, challenging the status quo, and focusing on process improvements
