About the position


The aim of Global Business Service Unit (GBSU) Canada is to deliver day-to-day services to Société Générale investment and corporate bank units and their clients to accelerate their transformation.

GBSU differentiates itself from competitors with the pace of the agile transformation delivered, spreading the technology and data culture, shortening the decision-making process, and adopting a true industrial approach, leveraging on different teams either transversal or aligned to the different sub business units.

Within the Trade Support Unit department, of Operations direction, the service Trade Capture (Transaction Modeling) is in
charge of booking transactions in the information systems under delegation of the Front Office
Within Société Générale, you will join the pole Global Banking & Investors Solutions (GBIS), in charge of activities of
financing and investment banking, private banking, asset management and securities.
Our teams is responsible for controlling trading activities across multiple trading desks across Fixed income, Rates,
Treasury and Credit.


What will be your day-to-day?
In this context, and in close relationship with the Front Office and all Support functions (Middle-Office, Back-Office, Risk
Department, Finance Department, Market Activity Indicators Department, Information Systems Department ), you will be

in charge of the following missions:

  • Responsible for managing trace (FINRA platform) & GSCC matching and setup;
  • Deal Control: you will enforce controls designed to make sure that executed trades are booked promptly and accurately;
  • Trade maintenance: you will monitor STP flows, resolving breaks, and Quality control of trading;
  • Collaborating with trading and sales to ensure proper booking of trades;
  • Liaising with Back Office and other teams to investigate and resolve breaks;
  • Process Lifecyle events on Fixed Income activity;
  • Responsible for certain regulatory checks such as Trace reporting and Reg W controls;

Profile required:


What does it take to get the job?

  • Bachelor's Degree with a major in finance or financial markets;
  • A first experience in financial markets is needed, in order to master the financial products and the processes; Ideally supporting Fixed Income trading desks
  • Bonds & IRD;
  • Deep knowledge and practical skills in Excel, VBA and financial mathematics;
  • Understanding of Interest rate swaps, TRS, CDS and relevant clearing workflows;
  • Good understanding of US Treasuries and Bond settlements;
  • Bilingualism (ENG/FRE) is considered an asset;
  • Good interpersonal and partnering skills, a "teamplayer";
  • Demonstrate initiatives, solutions oriented;
  • Ability to prioritize and work in a dynamic, deadlinefocused environment.

LANGUAGE:


Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, is a requirement as the person in this position will need to collaborate regularly with colleagues and partners in the United States.
