Description
This is a permanent full-time day shift position. You must have flexibility to work on the afternoon shift and on the weekends for where support is needed.


Responsibilities:


  • Work in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health and Safety Act (or the "Act") and the regulations; use or wear the equipment, protective devices or clothing required to be used or worn; report to the Supervisor the absence or defect in any equipment or protective device of which the worker is aware and which may endanger themselves or another worker; and report to the Supervisor any contravention of the Act or the regulations or the existence of any hazard of which the worker is aware
  • Manages and directs labour in the Shipping and Receiving Department
  • Ensures ontime shipping performance, works closely with employees and delivery drivers to ensure receipts and shipments meet standards.
  • Responsible for managing all material transfers to production
  • Responsible for inventory accuracy and cycle counting process
  • Assists planning team with managing inventory levels
  • Prepares shipping documents (BOL, Packing List's, and Customs Invoices) using internal MRP system
  • Provides leadership and training to new and existing employees
  • Maintains excellent working relationships with internal departments, external customers & suppliers
  • Updates team on daily issues
  • Performs additional duties as needed

Skills and Experience Required:


  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a Leadership role
  • Must have a valid forklift operator license from a recognized training provider
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask
  • Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision
  • Strong communication, organization, problem solving and analytical skills
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

  • Signing bonus

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Brantford, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Experience:
