Lions Personal Care Home is looking to hire part-time 0.7 EFT hours bi-weekly) Health Care Aides. We are hiring for term positions from June 10, 2023 to Oct. 13, 2023.
SHIFTS:
Days 7:15AM -3:30PM
Evenings 3:15PM to 11:30 PM

ABOUT THE POSITION_
Reporting to the Resident Care Manager (RCM), this position is responsible as a key member of the interdisciplinary team to provide the highest quality of resident care under facility policies, procedures, and protocols under the direction of the nursing team.
RESPONSIBILITIES_**:
- Assists residents in completing activities of daily living based on individualized care plans with respect, dignity, and compassion.
- Supports residents with mobility, transferring, exercises, and positioning in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
- Closely monitors residents for any changes and reports observations to LPN, RN or RPN.
- Documents and maintains resident records/files according to facility guidelines, including administrative tasks related to new admissions, discharges, and deaths and flow sheet documentation (e.g. MDS tracking, record intake and output, Comfort Care and Close Observation Flow Sheet, Behaviour Mapping).
- Maintains cleanliness of residents, room, equipment, and unit in accordance with facility policy, procedures, and guidelines.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:_
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Health Care Aide Certificate from an approved Manitoba Government Advanced Education and Training Health Care Aide Course
- Experience in a longterm care setting is an asset.
- Able to read, write and speak English
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Good interpersonal skills and an expressed willingness to work as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
- Organizational abilities, with a particular emphasis on time management
- Immunization up to date, documentation to be shown upon hire
- Physically and mentally able to perform all duties of the role.
