The responsibilities include:

  • Welcome guests in a warm and friendly manner and appropriately dressed in business attire.
  • Assists guests and owners in a friendly, proactive, and efficient manner with appropriate followup, as necessary.
  • Be aware of all essential aspects of hotel operations.
  • Collects payments from customers, ensures daily settlements are balanced.
  • Monitors lobby and checkin activity including cleaning and tidying up lobby area
  • Responds to guest inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner.
  • Receiving calls, conducting room reservations, and verifying existing bookings
  • Works with all departments closely to ensure guest safety, requests and coordinates any kind of activity that may affect these departments.
  • Staff will be trained for all shifts including audit shifts and expected to help out when needed.
  • Some general cleaning is required as well.
  • Must be flexible, must be able to work on weekends, holidays and basically any shifts.

Qualifications:


  • Excellent customer service skills, phone etiquette and listening abilities.
  • Flexibility to work varying and extended shifts.
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining professionalism.
  • Attention to detail to ensure an errorfree work environment.
  • Effective organization and timemanagement skills to prioritize and complete tasks on time.
  • Dealing with guest complaints effectively in solving guests needs.
  • Able to work in a fast paced environment, some heavy lifting with standing and bending at times.
  • Able to speak other languages is preferable but not needed.
  • Experience as a hotel front desk agent 6 months is preferable.
  • Reliability and punctuality is a must.
  • Must be able to work morning, afternoon and midnight shifts as well as weekends and holidays.
  • Must have some experience in the hotel industry and preferable brand experience as well.
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.

Benefits:

Extended Health after 3 months based on minimum 20 hours work.


Job Type:
Part-time

Part-time hours: 24 per week


Salary:
$16.00-$17.00 per hour
