Purpose:

Launched in October 2014, York University's new School of Continuing Studies is rapidly expanding.

It will be one of the largest and most innovative of its kind in the country with the potential to reflect the full spectrum of the continuing education field.

With unique course delivery models and top-quality programs, the School will increase the University's adult and international student population and will be central to the University's overall growth strategy.

The Program Coordinator plays a key role in the coordination, delivery and administration of the School's courses and programs.

Reporting to the Director, Professional Education Programs and being directed by Program Managers in daily activities, the Program Coordinator is responsible for Coordinating academic schedules, teaching appointments, program logistics, student support, and support in the administration and delivery of the School's courses and programs to adult learners.

The Program Coordinator ensures that a high level of customer service is provided to students in these programs, supporting them to achieve their academic goals.

and ensures that efficient and effective service is provided to instructors, staff and management within the School.


Education:


College Diploma in Business Administration, or Adult Education or related field is required or two years recent experience (defined as within the last three years) working at York University and performing the same or similar tasks.


Experience:


3 years related project coordination experience, including overseeing complex scheduling initiatives and organizing the availability and appointment of a large group of resources (e.g., instructors), administrative processes, and providing client service support.

Experience helping students to understand and meet the requirements of a variety of academic policy and procedures. Experience working in an environment with non-traditional academic schedules and a high degree of multi-tasking is preferred.
