Responsibilities:
- Conduct research to identify potential suppliers of goods and services, and evaluate their capabilities, quality, and pricing.
- Recognize and forecast needs based on orders and inventory, and work with suppliers to ensure that we have the necessary materials to meet demand.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers, ensuring that they meet our requirements for quality, cost, and delivery.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure that procurement decisions are aligned with business needs and goals.
- Monitor supplier performance and take corrective action as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of supplier contracts, agreements, and performance metrics.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
Qualifications:
- Postsecondary degree in chemistry, purchasing management, or related filed. Equivalent experience is acceptable.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in sourcing and procurement, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to influence others.
- Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with crossfunctional teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and procurement software.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Mandarin or Cantonese speaking abilities are preferred.
- Preferred experience working with Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) suppliers.
