Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring an Energy Finance Lead on a permanent basis on our Finance team.

Do you thrive in complex and collaborative situations? This role needs a skilled finance professional, with in-depth knowledge of the Energy sector, to take our Energy Roadmap initiative to the next level.

This position is a hybrid or remote opportunity and is based in Saskatoon, SK.

What is the Energy Roadmap?

The Co-operative Retailing System (CRS), which has proudly refined, distributed, and sold fuel for nearly a century, recognizes that Western Canada won't be solely reliant on traditional transportation fuels in the future.

We are embarking on arguably the largest transition in our history. We are confident that we will work together to address and capitalize on the challenges ahead. The Co-op Energy Roadmap is our plan and program to transition to the low-carbon economy by 2040.

What you'll do:

You will lead all the financial activities of the Energy Roadmap initiative, including designing, vetting, and updating all financial models and identifying potential risks.
You will provide key forecast information to the Financial Planning and Analysis team to aid in the development of the longrange plan.
You will be responsible for the development, management, and presentation of financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
You will ensure that the annual capital budgeting process remains updated with the current and future budgeted amounts for the Energy Roadmap initiatives.

Who you'll work with:

The Team:
You will work closely with a team of finance professionals and will report into the Sr. Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis. This team strives to cultivate a culture of collaboration, transparency, and a strong team focus.

The Collaborators:

You will work closely with other functions in our Energy Roadmap business unit and collaborate across the organization with Senior Leaders, Organizational Leaders, and Project Managers.

Who you are:

You are looking for a career in Finance and have:

A Bachelor of Commerce or Business.
An Accounting or Finance designation, such as CPA, CFA or CBV.
8 + years of relevant accounting experience (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
