Family Services York Region (FSYR) is a not-for-profit mental health agency providing counselling and outreach support services to individuals, couples, families, groups and communities across York Region.

We are hiring a Service Access Worker to join our team The Service Access Worker is responsible for providing service access navigation, case management and waitlist management services, providing referral information, scheduling client appointments, answering phones, and completing risk screenings when needed.


Qualifications:


  • Social Service Worker Diploma.
  • Registration and good standing with the OCSWSSW.
  • Experience working in a human services setting.
  • Demonstrated experience in intake, crisis management and client coordination.
  • Experience in gathering relevant information, referring and bridging to other services.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide competent and culturally safe service in a variety of settings with diverse populations.
  • Ability to work remotely from home with internet capacity and in the office, as required.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including a minimum of two evenings per week.
  • Strong computer skills and capacity to work on virtual platforms and client information systems (such as CaseWorks).
  • An energetic and welcoming personality with ability to be versatile, flexible and a team player.
  • A satisfactory current Vulnerable Sector Screening.
  • Fluency in second language is an asset.
