Responsibilities:


  • Support customer base by answering questions, concerns, account inquiries as well as handling customer complaints.
  • Generate sales through personal contact with walkin and/or telephone customers, repeat customers and sales leads, providing information on products, pricing and delivery
  • Maintain a high level of service to existing customers; managing the customer relationship from contract execution through delivery to after sales service; and generating additional sales through up selling.
  • Maintain a professional appearance, demeanor, and attitude at all times.
  • Receive and process customer orders, recommend substitutions, prepare and input sales data and expedite orders
  • Process and monitor special orders and update customers
  • Assist customers picking up their orders
  • Maintain a high level of product and service knowledge
  • Endure accuracy in all transactions, inventory, and procedures
  • Participate in all promotional activities and work with suppliers on counter days
  • Process payments for cash account customers.
  • Research and resolve customer problems, acting as the customer liaison between other departments when necessary.
  • Backup support to sales counter with walk in and telephone inquiries.

Qualifications:


  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required
  • 24 years of relevant experience
  • Solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment
  • Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
  • Able to work well under pressure
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times
