Description

As a Merchant Collections Specialist, you will be responsible for the collection of credit card chargebacks, fees, as well as other disputed cardholder items.

You will locate and contact Merchants by telephone and mail, handle skip-tracing assignments, assess the severity of delinquency, and make decisions based on the firm's established criteria.

You will negotiate payment arrangements and will also act as key liaison with other internal groups in order to promptly eliminate payment and merchant funding roadblocks.

Using tact and discretion, you will advise merchants of the consequences of not meeting their obligations.

In order to minimize losses to the firm, you will also play an active role requesting merchant terminations as well as the return (or billing) of rented equipment.

You will be managing a Collections queue using the firm's proprietary Collections system (PCM) while navigating a complex multi-systems environment, and we are seeking a dedicated Team player with the skill set to match.

Because you will evolve in this role within a relatively small Team, you will soon have ample opportunity to "really make a difference".

The Collections Team is made up of a solid mix of individuals with varied Paymentech skills and experiences, and we value diversity.

Commercial accounts receivable collection experience will be considered an asset, but so will Merchant Acquiring experience in a front line support role.
