Night Shift employee" to join us at Amenida Seniors' Community in Surrey, BC.

Reports to:
General Manager
Working Hours: 11 PM - 7 AM
Salary:
$20/hr
Must Have:
Provide Proof Flu Shots and Covid Vaccine Records
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
Administrative and Communication Tasks:
- Communicate with previous AL attendants and staff.
- Prepare reports and paperwork for the shift.
- Attend to resident call bells and emergent care needs.
- Complete miscellaneous assignments from the log book.
Medication Handling and Drink Cart Setup:
- Deliver medications and refrigerated meds to the main office.
- Set up drink carts as per floor requirements.
Daily Tasks (Throughout the Shift):
- Perform general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming all designated areas.
- Perform temperature checks on different floors.
- Serve and pick up isolation trays.
- Serve drinks on specific days and floors.
- Handle laundry tasks (washing, folding, checking dryer).
- Clean tubs, showers, and public bathrooms.
- Pick up garbage from designated lounges.
- Perform hallway sanitization per schedule.
- Conduct security rounds and activate building alarm.
- Perform resident night checks at specified intervals.
- Prepare juice carts, restock sugar bowl, and bring up mugs.
- Complete paperwork and reports for the next shift.
WHY YOU?
Educational Background:
- Grade 12 or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Food Safe Level 1 Certificate
- WHMIS certification
Experience:
- Experience working in Senior Resident Facility preferred.
- Prior experience in housekeeping or janitorial demonstrating expertise in cleaning, sanitation, and safety protocols.
Skills and Abilities:
- Must have empathy and understanding of the needs of seniors
- Must be customer service oriented
- Must demonstrate the ability and temperament to deal effectively and cooperatively with others including good conflict resolution skills
- Must be able to communicate proficiently English (written and verbal) and be able to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
- Knowledge of the Korean language and culture an asset
- Able to work under pressure, with deadlines, in a warm, noisy environment
- Ability to organize tasks and work independently
- Ability to operate related equipment
- Must be well groomed and have high standards of personal hygiene and cleanliness
- Must be in good health, physically able to carry out the duties of the position and free from communicable disease
