Position Summary

  • The Community Wellness Program Manager has primary daytoday management of the Multi-Cultural Wellness Program, Indigenous Wellness Program, and the supervision of Health Promotion Social Work services including human resources, program management and development, financial accountability and quality and innovation. They participate in and/or lead program, departmental and organizational initiatives, committees and/or functions. The Program Manager works with Mount Carmel Clinic (MCC) management to align programs and services with client needs, integrate services within and outside MCC and encourage teamwork and collaboration across all MCC departments.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor Degree in Social Sciences or equivalent experience will be considered
  • Registration with a Professional College or Association as appropriate

Skills, Expertise and Experience

  • Minimum of two (2) years of management experience, including human resources management
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience working effectively in a related service/program and similar population;
  • Demonstrated knowledge of basic financial management and program management, evaluation and development;
  • Understanding of the assets, challenges, needs and interests of MCC's clients and community
