Position Summary:


Under the direction of the Mechanical Superintendent you will be responsible for laying out, assembling, fabricating, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing piping and plumbing systems.

This position requires knowledge of the heavy construction industry, specifically the practices, procedures, techniques, tools and equipment, materials, specifications, quality control and safety associated with this industry.


  • PVC pipe installation
  • Stainless steel pipe installation
  • Equipment alignment and final placement
  • Quality control experience/auditing an asset
  • Small diameter copper piping
  • Industrial construction experience required
  • FRP experience platform construction and installation
  • Engineered supports installation required strict adherence/seismic experience an asset
  • Ability to red and interpret design drawings required

Requirements:


  • Must be a certified Pipefitter or Plumber
  • 3+ years experience working on heavy construction projects preferred
  • Must possess pipefitting skills for 2" to 20"pipe
  • Experience with large bore PVC piping
  • Experience with equipment installation
  • Must have hoisting and rigging skills
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Knowledge of workplace safety and safe lifting and handling procedures
  • Proactive in ensuring job knowledge is current
  • Valid WHMIS and Working at Heights are required. Confined space training is an asset
  • Ability to travel with NAC may provide long term career opportunities within Canada
