Financial Controller Position Details

  • Overseeing the operations of the accounting department
  • Managing all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of business results.
  • Coordinating and preparing job costing and internal financial statements.
  • Providing management with information vital to the decisionmaking process.
  • Maintaining the chart of accounts and internal control systems over accounting transactions.
  • Evaluating the effectiveness of accounting software and supporting database and data collections tools, as needed.
  • Overseeing monthly sales and payroll tax compliance.
  • Overseeing the payroll functions and full cycle of accounts payable and receivables
  • Monitor daily cash balances to ensure requirements are met.
  • Developing the team and improving their performance through coaching/feedback.
  • Assist in hiring, training, and retaining skilled accounting staff.
  • Perform special assignments as directed by the Ownership and Management.

Education & Experience

  • CPA with minimum of 5 years experience with progressive leadership attributes
  • Experience working for a General Contractor in the construction industry preferable.
  • Experience supervising financial professionals and clerical staff.
  • Solid understanding of accounting standards and controls.
  • Experience with Spectrum preferable
  • Advanced user of the MS Office Suite

Job Types:

Full-time, Permanent


Salary:

$110,000.00-$130,000.00 per year

Education:


  • Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
