About the Opportunity

Provides Culinary Services within a Supportive Living Dining Room maintaining the high-quality Culinary experience of Parkland
Executes food services for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner within a Supportive Living Lifestyle dining room in accordance to Brand Standards
Consistently ensures food quality, presentation, and service delivery meet established department standards; ensures meals are attractive, the correct temperature and portion size, and that service is timely
Effectively communicates and interacts with residents, family members, visitors and volunteers in a courteous and professional manner
Promotes a safety culture and adheres to all food safety standards and legislation
Executes preparatory functions of the culinary department
Demonstrates exceptional customer service and communication skills.

About You

In addition to placing high value on continuous improvement, collaboration and accountability, you bring:
Holds a high school diploma (or equivalent) and Basic Food Safety Training/the Food Handlers Certification.
A post-secondary culinary training preferred.
1-2 year's experience in high-volume food preparation, and thrive working in a fast-paced environment

Other assets include:

having CPR and Emergency First Aid certification, as well as previous experience working with seniors in a seniors' living or long-term care environment.

Advanced proficiency in the English language is required, proficiency in other languages considered an asset.
You have passion for the healthcare sector and/or ensuring seniors have access to quality accommodations, services and care.
