As a detail-oriented and analytical
Fire Protection Estimator, you will be responsible for accurately estimating the cost of fire protection systems for various projects.

This role will require a strong understanding of fire protection codes and and regulations, as well as the ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings.


Responsibilities:


  • Review project specifications, drawings, and other documents to accurately estimate the cost of fire protection systems
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and constraints
  • Perform takeoffs and material quantification for fire sprinkler systems, fire alarms, fire suppression systems, and other fire protection components
  • Utilize estimating software and tools to generate accurate cost estimates
  • Prepare detailed cost breakdowns and proposals for clients
  • Stay up to date on industry trends, codes, and regulations related to fire protection systems
  • Participate in prebid meetings and site visits as required

Qualifications:


  • Postsecondary education in Fire Protection or related field
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of NFPA and CAN/ULC codes and standards, as well as local building codes and regulations
  • Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural and engineering drawings
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with internal teams, clients and subcontractors
  • Strong problemsolving and decisionmaking skills
  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team in a fastpaced environment

Pay:
$25.00-$30.00 per hour
