Position description:


As a Manager SR&ED- Quantitative Services you will be working with a variety of clients at the forefront of technology in industries such as Automotive, Advanced Manufacturing, and the applied sciences.

You will work closely with entrepreneurs and public corporations, to evaluate their developments and R&D projects, and prepare their SR&ED claims.

This involves meeting with CEOs, CTOs, Technical Managers, and Technical Engineers to assess their project's eligibility to receive funding, establishing claim size, and writing technical project descriptions that detail the innovation and development activities for each project.

You will discuss new prototypes, experimental trials, process improvements, and new product development for some of the leading companies in Canada.

Coordinating, preparations and participating in SR&ED reviews with CRA auditors will also be occasionally required.

As a manager, you will be responsible for managing the administrative aspects of client engagements including contracts, resource allocations, and reporting.

Opportunity:


As a Manager SR&ED, you will:

  • Meet with clients and leverage your broad knowledge of current technologies to identify opportunities for claiming SR&ED in fields such as process improvements in automotive, manufacturing, prototype development, environmental research, cleantech research and new product developments in manufacturing.
  • Prepare detailed project descriptions for client R&D activities.
  • Assist in reviews with the Canada Revenue Agency.
  • Manage client expectations and strict deadlines.
  • Undertake engagement management responsibilities and resourcing allocations.
  • Participate in market initiatives and networking events.
  • Expand your network in the Automotive Sector.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Industrial or Automotive Engineering, or related disciplines. Graduate's Degree a strong asset
  • 2+ years' experience with the SR&ED program with exposure to engagement management.
  • Proficient in all elements of SR&ED claim lifecycles including project identification, technical claim preparation and CRA review assistance.
  • Strong understanding of the Automotive space and manufacturing would be an asset.
  • Creative thinker ability to innovate solutions to client problems on the spot. Willing to adopt a clientcentric/driven approach and interested in joining a strong, dynamic team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills (outgoing personality, written, verbal, and listening).
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
