Position Overview
Business/ Finance New Grads will be responsible for a variety of business functions within the organization.
These may include reporting, planning, accounting, audit, inventory management, material forecasting, data analysis, scheduling, reviewing processes for compliance, program/project management and the delivery of some training programs for field staff.
It may also include monitoring contingency use and participating in project risk workshops for Tx Capital projects.There are positions located in downtown Toronto and in Barrie.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor degree in programs such as Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Computer Science, or Mathematics.
- Knowledge of business/project management concepts, audit/investigation techniques data analysis and continuous improvement approaches.
- Experience with SAP is an asset, especially FI/CO modules and Project Systems.
- Experience in working with databases, data management, analysis and reporting is an asset.
- Willingness to travel to support site meetings for various assigned projects. This might include an overnight stay due to travel distance to ensure safe conditions of travel.
- Valid driver's license in Ontario.

The Corporate Controller group fulfills a key leadership role in financial management and ensuring good corporate governance across Hydro One.
We provide services in a variety of areas, such as Business Planning, Budgeting and Reporting, Decision Support, Corporate Accounting, Internal Control (including Bill 198 Compliance) and Accounting Policy.
The Transmission Project Delivery team is accountable forProject Estimating including Construction and Stations Services
Project Controls including Scheduling, Cost and Risk Management
Portfolio Management, Reporting and Analysis
Program Management:
Transmission Lines and Stations Services.
Each group is focused on key areas to support the delivery of the work program in addition they provide support and guidance to the entire division including work acceptance, project, and program forecasting, KPI development and tracking, investment planning support, resource planning, rate filing preparation and, support of strategic initiatives to help the corporation meet its stated goals and objectives.
The Forestry Work Management team is accountable for program management, financial reporting, and planning of scheduling of all Distribution and Transmission vegetation work.
Each group is focused on key areas to support the delivery of the work program in addition they provide support and guidance to the entire division including work acceptance, program forecasting, identification of risks and opportunities, KPI development and tracking, investment planning support, resource planning and rate filing preparation as well as participating in key projects and strategic initiatives that will enable Forestry Services to meet its goals and objectives.
The Quality Assurance Quality Assurance (QA) provides unbiased expertise to support and enable HONI Management and Staff in their key business objectives, obligations, and continuous improvement goals by undertaking QA Engagements and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
