Description
The Manager, HRIS ("Manager" ) establishes and leads complex projects related to Human Resources (HR) and manages improvements to the Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS).
The Manager will also manage internal and external project teams that are integral to the successful outcome of the projects.
What You'll be Doing
Managing all aspects of the project lifecycle and working with IT partners to oversee all phases of the project to ensure that related project processes are completed as required, including: securing project resources (i
e:
vendors, staffing, materials), process management, system development, change management (plans, processes, tools), transition to business/operations, quality management, risk management, and scope management.
Provides leadership (or participates as a member) for project teams in order to obtain a high level of cooperation and contribution from all project members and ensures compliance with relevant Sheridan policies and legislation.
Building and sustaining the day-to-day relationships and communications (including project briefings) with stakeholders at various levels of the organization, as well as other internal and external resources.
Guiding the HRIS team in translating business needs in the areas of compensation, payroll, pension and benefits to system functions and acts as a main contact and SME for functional HRIS Management with IT, consultants and organization.
Developing and implements technology projects to support College initiatives and HR service delivery. Provides expert advice to IT and business leaders related to HRIS and HR specific projects

The successful applicant will also possess the following:
Must possess a minimum 4-year bachelor's degree or a 3-year diploma/degree and a post graduate certificate in Business, Finance or Human Resources
Must have a minimum of 9 years in-depth experience a senior practitioner/technical advisor/consultant or supervisor
Certified Human Resources Professional Designation or HRIS Certification Preferred
Must have experience with SQL training, SQL tools, and Peoplesoft Query
Must have knowledge and experience with HRIS best practices, including audit, financial reconciliation and legislated statutory obligations
