Beattie Pet Hospital Ancaster, located in the Meadowlands, is currently searching for a Veterinary Assistant to join our growing team. Our staff is our work family, we are looking for someone who meets our values and is driven to help us grow, foster relationships and meet our goals (big or small). We are a Fear Free Clinic and working on our Feline Friendly Certification.
The Responsibilities
- Sterilizing equipment and regularly cleaning examination areas, kennels, general housekeeping duties
- Admitting and discharging patients for surgical procedures and diagnostics
- Invoicing/billing; creating estimates, obtaining pet owner confirmation and processing payments
- Excellent customer service skills; a real aptitude for putting people at ease and creating a welcoming environment
- Willingness to learn more regarding; there is so much more to the industry than playing with puppies and kittens. If you are open to learning, we are happy to teach
- Have the ability to meet the physical requirements of the position
The Position
- Fulltime or Parttime (we are flexible)
- 912 hour shifts (longer shifts, more days off)
- Previous Veterinary Clinic or Animal Experience is considered an asset
- Previous customer service or front desk experience in hospitality is an asset
