We are currently looking a full-time
Material Handler/Warehouse Worker for our Overhead Door Division.

At Wallace, we wouldn't be able to achieve our high standard of customer service without honest, highly motivated, and hardworking team players.


The Role
The role requires an individual who is hands on, self-motivated and thrives in a fast paced environment.

Your duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Help Overhead Door Technicians find and load orders first thing in the morning and throughout the day as necessary.
  • Check board for daily/weekly pickups and check orders to make sure they are complete and correct.
  • Loading, unloading, shipping, and receiving goods/materials.
  • Picking, preparing, and wrapping orders for shipping as per customer orders.
  • Moving material to different locations within the yard and warehouse facility.
  • Manage inventory and complete necessary paperwork.
  • Operate company machinery in a safe and secure manner.
  • Operate a forklift in a safe, efficient manner to transport product in and out of work areas.
  • Work closely with all shop personnel to remove full and empty bins, cages, and skids and keep the warehouse clean and tidy.

Requirements:


  • A valid class 5 driver's license is required.
  • A valid forklift operator certificate is preferred.
  • Experience operating a variety of forklifts is an asset.
  • A solid knowledge and understanding of basic mathematics and proficient use of tape measure are critical requirements, as this position requires accuracy.
  • Experience with hand and power tools is an asset.
  • Ability to read and understand instructions and shipping/receiving documents, plus be able to clearly communicate with and be helpful to everyone on the team.
  • Be reliable, punctual, and prepared to positively impact the success of the company.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, physically demanding environment requiring constant walking, ascending/descending stairs, or pallet jack platform, bending, reaching, lifting, and carrying.
  • Able to lift up to 60 pounds.
  • Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.
  • Must be able to work independently or within a team environment.
  • Must adhere to all safety regulations and procedures.
