ROLE PROFILE:

The Communications & Marketing Advisor is responsible for effective communications and marketing initiatives for HIAA's internal and external stakeholders.

Utilizing superior written and verbal communication, the Communications & Marketing Advisor works closely with team members, employees, executives and members of the media, the community, and outside agencies in support of HIAA's strategic goals.

Duties include participating in the creation and implementation of innovative and strategic communications and marketing activities utilizing various channels to reach all relevant audiences.


QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Bachelor's degree or certificate in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or other closely related fields
  • Minimum of three to five years related experience in writing/editing a variety of corporate communications materials, communications planning, media relations/issues management, and social media strategy and management on behalf of the organization
  • Knowledge of current online/social media trends
  • Knowledge of best practice principles and techniques in media relations, public relations and marketing
  • Experience using website content management systems, Microsoft 365 and SharePoint desired
  • Demonstrated proficiency in document and presentation design and production, and use of applicable technology
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively use organizational and planning skills with attention to detail and follow through
  • Effective use of interpersonal, written and oral communication skills, including tact and diplomacy
  • Demonstrated issue management and media relations skills
  • Demonstrated communication strategy, planning and implementation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a team
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively handle stress and deal with situations in a profes
