We are looking to add a full-time herdsperson to our team. If you are interested in livestock genetics this could be the job for you
This will be full time position mon-fri 8 am to 5 pm with weekend work throughout the busy season and occasional weekend work in the off season.
Herdsperson Responsibilities:
- Daily feeding and bedding of pens in donor facility and bull housing facilities
- Herd monitoring for disease
- Daily hormone administration injections
- Recipient synchronization
- Heat detection
- Occasional assistance with donor collections/ artificial inseminations
- Assisting clients with tours of the inhouse bulls
- Assisting with semen collections
- General farm maintenance
- General equipment maintenance
Qualifications/ Skills Requirements:
- Must be able to operate heavy equipment.
- Cattle handling experience
- Very strong attention to detail
- Ability to lift heavy objects.
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Effective communication skills
Salary:
$18.00-$28.00 per hour

Experience:
- livestock: 1 year (required)
Ability to Commute:
