THE PURPOSE:


Core Tasks:


  • Create project charters and all corresponding project management documentation
  • Solicit, coordinate the development of and document specifications focused on outcomes
  • Build detailed project plans
  • Monitor and report on project milestones, budget, and resources
  • Establish consultant, subcontractor, and vender relationships as required to acquire specific resource experience
  • Effectively communicate project expectations, status, and outcomes to stakeholders, project team members, and the executive.
  • Assist IT leadership and senior business management to identify and prioritize opportunities for utilizing IT to achieve the goals of the organization
  • Identify and resolve conflicts within the project team
  • Conduct project reviews and create recommendations to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements
  • Establish acceptance framework in conjunction with IT Manager for acceptance of completed projects
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Experience:


  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, business, or a related field
  • PMP/CAPM/PM certification is an asset
  • Experience in a Call Centre, Security Monitoring Station, or Critical Infrastructure environment is an asset
  • Minimum 3 years of project management and related experience
  • Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline
  • Experience managing external project delivery teams

Knowledge:

  • Knowledgeable with all aspects of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Understanding of Microsoft Solution Architecture and Unified Communications
  • Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices
  • Scrum training, Scrum Master experience and Agile certifications will be considered an asset
