Work Arrangements:

We are currently working remotely, and we will be moving to a hybrid model when our office renovation is complete (approximately September 2023), coming into the office a minimum of 2 days per week, every other week on designated days.


The Opportunity:
Equitable Life is looking for a Manager, Group Marketing to join our growing Group Marketing team

This role will be responsible for managing the Group division marketing communications staff.

Additionally, this role will work with the Director and Product Managers to develop and implement internal and external marketing communications plans for the Group division's products and sales initiatives.

What you will be doing:


  • Developing and implementing marketing communications strategies for the Group division
  • Budgeting and managing the effective use of the print and promotional materials throughout the year
  • Ensuring that the marketing communications produced in the Group Division are compliant with external regulations and internal guidelines
  • Coordinating the marketing communication work for the Group division across internal business partners and corporate communications
  • Launching communications and promoting the Sales Conference, the Advisor Roadshow and other events and webinars to Sales staff, Advisors and distribution partners
  • Creating and maintaining training material and presentations on products, sales concepts and other marketing opportunities to facilitate the training of producers/advisors and the Group Sales and Service teams
  • Editing and writing creative and or technical internal and external communications
  • Monitoring marketing communications trends and technologies to identify and leverage vehicles, tools and tactics that help engage our key audiences
  • Acting as key stakeholder for the Group elements of both the corporate website and advisor website design
  • Working with the Graphics Services department on the design and production of materials
  • Managing of daytoday staff activities and their professional development and performance
  • Conducting annual staff performance appraisals and recommend appropriate salary increases
  • Addressing performancerelated problems, learning opportunities and initiate appropriate corrective action

What you will bring:


  • Ten years of industryrelated experience, particularly as it relates to marketing of Insurance products
  • Postsecondary education in English, Public Relations, Communications, Journalism or related field
  • Superior and diverse writing and editing skills
  • Experience managing staff and coordinating production of marketing communications and promotional activities
  • Experience with coordinating webinars special events, trade shows and conferences
  • Ability to work with other employees, managers, designers and suppliers
  • Demonstrated success in market strategy development and delivery
  • Ability to work under deadlines in a fastpaced work environment
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills with the ability to effectively lead initiatives, gain support and build consensus with stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to plan and execute multiple projects simultaneously
  • Innovative problemsolver with strong analytical and decisionmaking skills.
  • Experience with online marketing campaigns and platforms.
  • Prior experience working with creative designers; knowledge about design principles an asset
  • Ability to lead creative development and implement industry best practices
  • Exceptional marketing campaign and project management skills
  • Bilingual, spoken and written (French and English) preferred
