Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently and skillfully cut, trim, and prepare various cuts of meat according to customer preferences and specifications
  • Ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation are maintained in the cutting area, following food safety regulations and guidelines
  • Assist in receiving, inspecting, and storing meat products to maintain freshness and quality
  • Operate and maintain butcher equipment and machinery, such as saws, grinders, and slicers, ensuring they are in proper working condition
  • Provide exceptional customer service by offering advice on meat selection, cooking methods, and recipes
  • Collaborate with team members to optimize production and maintain an organized and efficient workflow
  • Keep accurate records of inventory, sales, and production data as required

Requirements:


  • Previous experience as a butcher or in a similar role is essential
  • Strong knowledge of meat cuts, preparation techniques, and butchery equipment
  • Demonstrated expertise in cutting and trimming various types of meat, including beef, pork, poultry, and lamb
  • Ability to work with precision and attention to detail, ensuring consistent portioning and presentation of products
  • Understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations, including proper handling and storage of meat products
  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to interact professionally with customers
  • Physical stamina and strength to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required

Salary:
$16.00-$26.26 per hour
