Truck Inspector 1 to join our Caleb Brett team in our

Through guidance provided by lntertek, and in a safe, legal and ethical manner, the Truck Inspector is to uphold lntertek's commitments to our client as per the contract, thus supporting the goal of providing a service to our clients that is accurate, timely and cost effective.


All trucks entering and exiting the _Site _must be inspected to ensure that the product being delivered and shipped has been and will be kept in a containers that prevents tempering or contamination.


What you'll do:


  • Ensure 100% cleanliness of all truck compartments required to be loaded with product leaving the Site.
  • Perform periodic tank wagon spill kit inspections to ensure carriers meet our client spill kit standards.
  • Record all inspection results on the Inspection form and record all spill kit inspection results on the Carrier Spot check.
  • Truck Inspectors may be required to guide drivers to the right locations within the Site.
  • Truck Inspectors are required to follow the safety practices in place at the Site.

What it takes to be successful in this role:


Education:


  • Personnel who perform the Truck Inspections are at least 18 years of age, are fluent in English and have reasonable math skills.
  • The work site is a set of loading racks located inside a refinery or terminal. Protection from the elements is provided, however working conditions may include heat and cold. The position will require climbing steps to an inspection platform, and climbing onto truck trailers. The job will be standing and walking for most of the shift. There will also be lifting of pails filled with oils.

Other requirements:

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to operate test equipment and tanker inspection fittings
Preferred skills or experience

  • Knowledge of Lubricants and Pharmaceutical Grade White Oils, and compatibility with other products
  • Knowledge of truck loading.
  • Knowledge of transportation legislation
