POSITION PURPOSE:
Reporting to the Program Manager, Integrated Service Delivery Planning and Partnerships, is responsible for coordinating and monitoring the Department's service delivery planning and accommodation processes; providing project management support related to accommodation and capital projects; acts as the department lead and primary contact for space and accommodation requirements with appropriate departments and in coordination with the Property Services Branch; assisting with the development of a CHS service delivery plan; and conducting research, analysis and demographic studies to develop service proposals.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Recommends strategies and tools to support an integrated approach to service delivery planning.
- Provides support to team members on location models.
- Participates in facility planning strategies to ensure the best use of Regional facilities, effective service to residents, strategic investment and support overall Regional strategic objectives.
- Provides project management support including conceptualizing, work planning, resourcing and evaluating various projects.
- Assists in the integrated short and long term accommodation planning process for the department to enhance CHS service delivery.
- Plans for shortterm accommodation planning and ensures alignment to the budget process so that we can plan for future FTE growth.
- Engages with CHS branches on their accommodation and capital project needs during the budget planning process.
- Assists in collecting, synthesizing and analyzing demographic information, population and growth forecasts, facility demand data, program data and community needs to develop service proposals.
- Analyzes Facility Information Management reports for the purpose of future space planning.
- Gathers and analyzes information and data on program and services related issues; prepares presentations, impact and option analysis, environmental and jurisdictional scans; and monitors and reviews data to identify trends and develop strategies. Responds to inquiries and resolves concerns, as appropriate.
- Ensures that services provided meet Regional customer service standards.
- Participates on committees, work groups, task forces and special projects, as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Successful completion of a University Degree in Urban Planning, and Architectural Technology or Interior Design or approved equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in project management or professional designation in Project Management.
- Minimum three (3) years experience in service planning, facility portfolio planning and accommodation planning.
- Knowledge of provincial legislative, regulatory and policy framework and ability interpret and translate into policy and program options for the Department.
- Knowledge of Department's program delivery operations, programs and services, the community served and client social issues.
