$50,000 - $60,000 per year, plus benefits
Reports to:
Manager, Data and Analytics
Nature & Scope:
The
Data Analyst is responsible for organizing unstructured data from various sources to be used in descriptive reports as well as employ statistical methods to interpret integrated data systems that enables stakeholders to make decisions.
Major Responsibilities:
- Extract, transform, and load data from various sources to a structured platform for interpretation.
- Acquire data from primary and secondary sources and maintain databases/data systems.
- Clean and validate data to ensure accuracy.
- Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
- Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports.
- Design, develop, maintain, and optimize reports and dashboards.
Qualifications/Experience:
- University degree in statistics, social science, information technology, or in a related field.
- Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Business Objects etc), databases (SQL etc), programming (XML, Javascript, or ETL frameworks).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings.
- Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS etc).
- Technical proficiency in a visualization tool such as Power BI, Tableau.
- Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and change.
