Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Experience:

q Demonstrated experience and commitment to EDI (Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion)

q Knowledge of and experience delivering the Ontario Curriculum

q Demonstrated to build relationships, work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team

q Excellent interpersonal skills as well as oral and written communication skills to communicate effectively with students, families, community partners, school administration, school staff, and other stakeholders

q Demonstrated ability to engage students in their learning journey

q Strong planning and organizational skills

q Demonstrated experience with differentiating instruction and assessment as well as creating and implementing alternative programming

q Experience working with diverse student populations with varying needs and strengths

q Ability to provide direct instruction to students requiring program modifications and accommodations through a literacy and numeracy approach

q Ability/experience conducting diagnostic assessments to inform planning and instruction

q knowledge and experience implementing effective accommodations and modifications

q Knowledge and competence with the use of assistive technology and learning software
