About the position:

Currently, we are looking for a motivated
Manager, Project Planning for our Pre-Planning team, in
Kelowna. However, this position could be based
in Burnaby or Kelowna.


The Project Planning Services team supports our large Design Build projects across the province, ranging from large residential, office high rises to major hospitals.

The team specializes in designing and creating installation drawings from engineering construction documents to the field stage for installation.

The Manager, Project Planning will lead and motivated the Project Planning team.

You will aim to increase productivity and reduce costs of department by implementing practices, procedures, policies, and tools to enhance capabilities and meet project objectives.


Manager, Project Planning Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Sr. Planners to aid ongoing projects with resourcing and scheduling.
  • Monitor that projects and programs are proceeding according to agreed projects scope, schedule, budget and quality standards.
  • Provide planning and scheduling analysis and improve efficiency of project planning and execution.
  • Monitor inventory of office supplies and the purchasing of new material.
  • Ensure appropriate project documentation is maintained.
  • Foster a positive, high performing, team environment.
  • Support with team succession planning and employee recognition.
  • Monitor team and individual performance, providing feedback and disciplinary action when required.

Manager, Project Planning Experience and Skills:

  • 5 years of construction planning with project scheduling experience.
  • Experience managing teams in construction or administrative environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook). Experience using Procore and Bluebeam an asset.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to deliver feedback.
  • Ability manage multiple competing priorities, allocate resources and respond to changing environments.
  • Strong attention to detail and highly organized.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a customer centric approach.
  • Ability to lead a team through change management

The salary for this position will be commensurate with experience.
