Preventative Maintenance Team Lead.
This role will include a leading a maintenance team to perform regularly scheduled preventative maintenance, monthly safety checks, as well as repairs and modifications to equipment and facilities as needed.

What You Will Do:
- Lead team of maintenance associates to ensure proper maintenance and timely repairs of the facility
- Supervise repairs, maintenance, and construction of equipment and facilities onsite
- Establishes a regular/preventive maintenance strategy and plan
- Enforce adherence to safety practices, policies, and principles, in compliance with the relevant federal, provincial, and local laws and regulations
- Support the annual budget preparation and administration
- Provide technical assistance to staff and interface with production shift leader/supervisor to affect safe repairs to equipment and that equipment is returned to operations in an acceptable condition
- Receives and processes work orders on a webbased maintenance management system.
- Make an estimate of the cost of labour and tools/parts needed for work orders; acquires competitive prices for contractors, supplies and equipment
- Maintains all maintenance data and records in the reliability database
- Build and maintain the spare parts inventory and maintenance supplies strategy Coordinates work assignments of Maintenance Technicians with the Capital Projects Engineer and Production Supervisor
- Develops and maintains the list of preferred vendors, suppliers, and contractors. Review the contractor's qualifications as required
- Lead the PM Pillar (Preventative Maintenance), implementing all required TPM tools (KPIs, BDA, 5 Whys, etc.) and keeping the link with all other TPM pillars
- Prepares goal setting, individual talent development, and formal talent reviews for maintenance staff
Position Details:
- Plant location: Mississauga, ON
- Work week and shift: Monday to Friday 7:30 am 4:00 pm
- Weekends as required
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree, engineering discipline preferred
- 3 years related experience
- Knowledge of hydraulics, pumps, and PLCs
- No immigration sponsorship offered for this role
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to perform physical duties
- Must be able to lift and carry 50lbs
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous safety and behaviouralbased safety culture experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with electrical and mechanical systems in an industrial maintenance environment
- Strong technical knowledge. Experience with pumps, welding, bearings, electrical safety, forklifts, gears, hydraulics, valves, and rigging is an asset.
- Experience in a Continuous Improvement environment
