Training & Marketing Manager Permanent, Full-time, 80 hours bi-weekly; days

The Manager, Training & Marketing is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations external marketing activities at the organization, including social enterprise (Marymound Training Centre, Catering, and Landscaping), fund development activities, and the organization as a whole.
Primary responsibilities of the position include:
- Develops and delivers strategies integral to organizational brand and continuity of such in collaboration with the Fund
- Develops social enterprise strategies to generate revenue in the Marymound Training Centre, Catering, and Landscaping in collaboration with the Fund Development Team;
- Participates in matters relating to Fund Development including stewardship and donor asks, and event planning and coordination;
- Leads and evaluates an effective external communications strategy for Marymound in collaboration with the Fund
- Produces Marymound's external communication materials in collaboration with the Fund Development team;
- Develops, facilitates and continuously evaluates training programs
- Strategically develops and promotes Marymound as a learning organization, both internally and externally to other agencies and the public with the launch of the Marymound Training Centre;
- Markets available training both internally and externally, and provides necessary information about sessions
- Conduct organizationwide training needs assessment and identify skills or knowledge gaps that need to be addressed, including current and future training needs of the organization;
- Identifies both internal and external resources required to implement Marymound's training strategy;
- Manage a budget developed in collaboration with the Fund Development Team
- Demonstrates an active commitment towards professional growth and advancement through participation in training, workshops, etc. and the ability to flexibly and creatively adapt work to maintain best practices;
- Develops and supports implementation of strategic marketing plans;
- Creates and manages regular content for social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram);
- Manages print production for all agency materials;
- Identifies and facilitates media opportunities through TV, radio, print and other platforms;
- Seeks opportunities to promote the agency, both generally and with respect to specific issues, through the media;
- Creates & ensures inventory of banners, billboards, brochures, and other collateral materials to promote the organization;
- Develops and expands various contact lists/data bases related to different marketing efforts (programs, events, training centre, catering)
- Oversees the agency web site including maintenance and inquiries made through the "contact us" portal in collaboration with the Network Specialist.
- Acts as the contact person for all public inquiries regarding Marymound;
- Manages all public relations matters, including press conferences, media relations, and news releases; in conjunction with the
- Leads and participates in subcommittees and ad hoc event committees as required including the Fund Development
- Helps ensure Marymound's philosophy, mission and values are visible and practiced throughout the organization.

Qualifications:
- Postsecondary degree or diploma in communications, marketing, or related field or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience;
- Minimum of 5 years working experience in communications or public relations;
- Superior verbal and written communication skills;
- Leadership skills to facilitate and direct a comprehensive range of activities to promote the agency and educate the general public about its various programs and services;
- Ability to relate well with the media, government and other public representatives, and to act as a spokesperson;
