- Utilize AutoCAD to draft 2D traffic plans, offering guidance and support to other AutoCAD users
- Create written strategies and technical reports for clients using MS Word
- Collaborate with engineers to produce professionally sealed drawings
- Develop temporary traffic control strategies and various reports as needed
- Maintain relationships with general contractors and road governing authorities
- Effectively communicate with client project managers and other leads regarding designs, changes, and models
- Research and implement procedures that enhance the value of engineering services
- Prepare drawings and documentation packages as per specifications
- Preferably possess post-secondary education in fields like Construction Management or related areas. Candidates with an AutoCAD Level 1 Diploma or Certificate will be given preference.
- Prior experience of 3-5 years in the traffic or road safety/construction industry is advantageous. Completion of relevant courses such as the Alberta Temporary Traffic Control (ATTC) course is a plus.
- Intermediate AutoCAD skills for designing and drafting are required
- Familiarity with vehicle tracking and Google Earth is beneficial
- Understanding of temporary work zone designs and construction phasing is valued
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications like Word, Excel, and Outlook

About the Position
ATS Traffic is currently seeking a skilled Drafting and Design Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and designing traffic control drawings for various projects across Canada. Additionally, you will develop Traffic Accommodation Strategies for both internal and external clients.
