Your Opportunity at ARC'TERYX:
As the Manager, Brand Communications you are the key global leader responsible for creating the strategy and executing our product storytelling and leading our paid media program.
This leadership role sits in the Brand Communications team and partners directly with the broader Brand team, product marketing, design, merchandising, athletes, ambassadors, and insights teams to identify external opportunities to tell our most impactful brand stories.
You are a big thinker who is an expert at communications, generating all materials and support needed to share stories about the world's best apparel and equipment.
You understand the endemic media landscape, you've managed a paid program before, enjoy building relationships across and beyond the industry, produce seasonal product press kits, manage product orders, and media events including our global Academies, and provide reports achieving strong KPIs to relevant global stakeholders.
You work collaboratively with the Brand Communications team and lead your strategy globally with partners in EMEA, APAC and China, as well as our external agencies.

If you were the Manager, Brand Communications now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:
- Leading paid media strategy and execution with a cross-functional group of leaders
- Building, coaching and guiding a high performing team (internally and/or externally) to deliver on Brand Communications strategies, which currently includes managing one direct report (contractor)
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders to evolve and execute on comprehensive product PR strategy
- Processing product requests for media and other stakeholders
- Coleading and supporting Arc'teryx media events
- Managing seasonal outdoor product press kits
- Leading press planning for Veilance, System_A, and special projects
- Managing our online media newsroom and responding to media inquiries
- Developing and providing reports to relevant stakeholders, achieving measurable KPIs
- Building, coaching and guiding a high performing team (internally and/or externally) to deliver on Brand Communications strategies
- Support employee communications strategy and execution
Here are some of the things you could be working on in the future:
- Collaborating across the Brand team and organization to identify product storytelling that will help scale brand awareness in NA and globally
- Setting global paid and product storytelling strategy, onboarding our global regions to localize and amplify these stories
- Identifying new, creative ways to leverage our paid media program to reach new audiences
- Thinking of new assets and leveraging creative materials / creating materials to support our presence in the endemic media landscape, and identifying new areas outside of the industry to drive share of voice and establish our reputation as an industryleading innovator
- Helping to plan Academy communications, attending events, staffing media and achieving strong KPIs as set annually
Are you our next Manager, Brand Communications?:
- You have a bachelors degree or post-secondary education in a related field
- You have 5+ years experience in an external communications role, with experience in a fast paced, resultsdriven environment
- You have exceptional verbal and written communication skills coupled with strong collaboration abilities
- You have experience in public relations, with a strong understanding of the media landscape
- You have a keen eye for emerging media and digital social trends.
- You have an enthusiastic approach to evolving and improving existing brand awareness strategies
- You are a natural problem solver, and highly entrepreneurial. There is no problem you can't solve and you are always thinking on your feet
- You are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues and developing solutions.
- You remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity.
- You effectively balance autonomy and collaboration
- You inspire breakthrough thinking and continuous improvement.
- You seek the best (sometimes not the easiest) solutions, with an unwavering commitment to do what is right
