Overview:
Lafarge Canada is looking for an

Asphalt Raker person to join our construction crews.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities - What you'll do:

Raking, shoveling, and other labour duties as assigned
Ability to rake asphalt to high standards
Follow and adhere to all the Company's safety procedures and directives
Responsible to ensure all work is completed in a safe manner
Perform work in outdoor construction site settings
Working alongside the paving crew
Act in a courteous manner in order to project a positive company image
Assist with other duties as required from time to time

Daily Work Details

Work locations are in and around Vernon BC and will vary during the construction season
Start dates vary depending on spring conditions. In previous seasons work usually wraps up December

Qualifications:

Raking Asphalt experience required
Willing to learn and take direction
Must be able to communicate well with coworkers
Must be able to work under pressure
Must be able to meet all safety requirements and applicable safety policies
Physically fit
Must be able to work overtime, weekends, nights, and early starts (irregular hours) when necessary
