We currently have an exciting opportunity available for a Program Manager reporting to the Director of Social Services.

Reporting to the Director, the Program Manager - Winnipeg provides leadership to/and supervises Community Support Supervisors and to the Support Services team.

The Program Manager oversees operational functions and manages the delivery of a combination of Attendant Services for those with physical disabilities or seniors which may consist of Outreach, Supportive Housing Programs, Assisted Living and Congregate Care.

The Program Manager is responsible for scrutiny of service delivery and the management of finances and human resources to meet client needs within March of Dimes Canada policies and procedures.

The Program Manager will coordinate budget and program plan documentation and will be required to provide support to program volunteer committees and client groups.

The Program Manager will also be required to implement quality improvement measures throughout the programs for which they are responsible.

Valid Driver's license and reliable vehicle are required.


Responsibilities:


  • Provide leadership to and supervise individual Community Support Supervisors and/or the Support Services Management team.
  • Manage the delivery of a combination of Attendant Services and Brain Injury Services which may consist of Outreach, Supportive Housing Programs, Assisted Living and/or Congregate Care.
  • Oversee operational functions while managing programs.
  • Oversee to ensure client service delivery/management is met within March of Dimes Canada policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate budget and program plan documentation relating to each program and compile necessary documentation for submission to the Director.
  • Provide support to program volunteer committees, government planning committees and client groups.
  • Required to implement quality improvement measures throughout the programs.

Qualifications and experience:


  • Postsecondary diploma or degree in a related field, Business/Accounting/Finance courses desirable
  • 25 years experience in the Social Services/Health Sector with demonstrated experience supervising
  • At least 5 years experience providing management support within multidisciplinary team
  • Experience leading team and working with various locations requiring distance management skills
  • Understanding and awareness of physical disabilities/senior services; experience with Brain Injury programs is an asset
  • Knowledge of community resources / services
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community
  • Knowledge of/expertise in cultural competency in a work place
  • Program and budget management experience
  • Strong problemsolving skills in dealing with human relationships
  • Understanding of how legislative requirements may affect ability to make decisions
  • Proven skills in the implementation of performance management and dispute resolution
  • General understanding of computer hardware and software
  • Change management skills and experience
  • Bilingual English/French a strong asset
  • Ability to work independently from home and in office
  • Valid driver's license and willing to travel throughout region.
