We are looking for:

Biostatistician - VIE Contract (W/M):


Target start date: 01/03/2023

Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for providing statistical services of assigned projects to ensure objectives are met, and timely delivery and quality of analyses and reports
  • Author and review statistical analyses and reports. Provide statistical consultation to Quality functions, Biostatisticians, contract statistical services, and other functions at Sanofi
  • Verify existing calculation programs perform according to Standard Operating Procedures and calculations agree with license agreement and current regulations. Develop, validate, update, and maintain tools used for statistical calculations, data analysis and trending, and stability data trending
  • Keep abreast of statistical literature and maintain current knowledge of industry standards and relevant scientific disciplines to ensure current developments are implemented when appropriate

Scope and dimensions

  • Position liaises across Quality Control, Analytical Sciences, Manufacturing Technology, Site Quality Operations (QO), Regulatory Affairs, Production, and possibly other Sanofi sites
  • Provide consultation on study design, data requirements, experimental design, regulatory questions, with wide range of customers involved in joint projects from technologists, scientists, managers, and directors of QO to staff in Regulatory Affairs, government regulators or statisticians at other sites
  • Use sound statistical methodologies, write statistical analysis plan and design, perform sample size calculation, data management, statistical analysis and modelling, write clear statistical reporting of the data analysis results, and communicate statistical results and conclusions to clients
  • Perform analyses and interpretation of data in the assigned projects. Perform review of statistical analysis and reports completed by peers. Perform review of study protocols and reports
  • Strong Team player. Quality service and cooperation are essential to the success of projects for which statistical input is required. Thus, commitment to the needs and goals of the Team is a vital aspect of the role

Requirements:


  • Postsecondary training in a biological science would be a strong asset
  • Experience in SAS statistical programming and interpretation of statistical results, including use of a variety of statistical procedures (e.g., linear and nonlinear models, mixed effects model, nonparametric analysis, equivalence testing, categorical data analysis)
  • Experience with other analytical tools (e.g., JMP, Matlab, R) and programming language would be a strong asset
  • Proficient in use of MS Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in English & French language. Ability to effectively communicate statistical concepts
  • Strong attention and accuracy with details. Commitment to quality
  • Strong team player. Strong working relationships and effective interpersonal interaction skills
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and projects
