We are looking for enthusiastic and team-oriented people to join our team that helps keep our Alberta provincial Highways safe.

You are an experienced Labourer with a Class 5 license and a desire to work for a community-minded organization and you take pride in performing safe and quality work.

You will be responsible for year-round maintenance of Alberta highways, while performing general site maintenance, including crack sealing, asphalt patching, flagging, and message painting.

Essential Responsibilities

Perform various highway maintenance tasks including crack sealing, asphalt patching, flagging, message painting, etc.
Assist with traffic control procedures
Perform preventive maintenance and cleaning of equipment
Perform other road maintenance duties as required
Work outside in all weather conditions

Qualifications:

Successfully complete preemployment drug and alcohol testing
Be able to perform physically demanding tasks
Must possess a valid Class 5 driver's license
Provide a 3year driver's abstract
Previous experience as a Traffic Controller or Flagging experience is a strong asset

Work Conditions

Applicants that reside in Fox Creek and Valleyview may be given preference due to the location of the work
Accommodations will be provided to nonlocal applicants for the Fox Creek Shop
As LHL is obligated to respond to various weather patterns, some shift work, oncall, and night shift will be required
