The Natural Gas and Technical Services team at Cenovus is tasked with managing Cenovus's natural gas and liquids assets throughout the Western Sedimentary Basin.


Responsibilities:


  • Coordinate the creation of credible longrange plans for the business, test assumptions, analyze gaps and collaborate with Corporate planning on rollup
  • Run pro forma, portfolio impacts, financial analysis and decision analysis for all portfolio management, development, commercial and business development opportunities
  • Actively participate in strategic discussions and translate them into practical work for the business.
  • Coordinate business services for the asset:
  • Area Based StrategiesPortfolio/Visualizations Economics alignment-
  • Development scenario Quality Control-
  • Corporate planning requests-
  • Assist in market intelligence generation for portfolio management and business opportunity initiatives including:
  • Supply Cost / inventory database-
  • Scenario Modeling-
  • Liability / Asset Retirement Obligation database management
    Qualifications:
  • Available to begin work in January 2024


Skills/ Competences- The individual in this position will exhibit the following organizational competencies: Safely gets results, enables agility, communicates with impact, fosters collaboration.- The individual is self-motivated and proactive to ensure the timely completion of assigned tasks and project requirements.

Proficiency with data visualization tools (Spotfire, PowerBI) is also an asset but not required- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail- Strong verbal and written communications skills

Education- Must be enrolled in an Engineering or Business Undergraduate Program at an accredited post-secondary institution at the time of intended work term and returning to full-time studies after the work term OR registered in an accredited post-secondary co-op or internship program for the duration of the work term
